In today’s 24/7 hectic world finding time to attend a week-long training course can be quite a challenge. Sometimes even getting a couple of days away from the workplace can be difficult, especially if you are in a client-facing role. ELearning enables you to learn at a time and place convenient to you. You can repeat lessons / sections of a course until you are sure you understand them and easily monitor your progress too.
Not only can you stream our course content using wifi / 4G, but Balance Global are currently the only ATO to provide downloadable tablet APPs for times when you are on the move and might not have good internet access.
Some people are concerned that eLearning will not suit their particular learning style. However, Balance Global’s eLearning courses use multi-media and have been carefully designed to cater for different earning styles and learner abilities:
• Visual Learners – our courses are visually engaging, and we have embedded additional study aids for visual learners, such as colour coded process models and mind-maps
• Auditory Learners – our courses contain clear audio, delivered by subject specialists rather than actors, which we find helps ensure that emphasis is placed on the most important sections
• Kinaesthetic Learners – our courses have many test questions and inter-active exercises embedded within them to aid those who learn best through practising what they have learnt
• Course Accessibility – if you have a hearing impairment, or need to turn the audio off a full transcripts are available within our courses
A common concern with eLearning is that you will be un-supported as a learner. With our courses this is not so. Not only will you be able to see any questions asked by previous learners through subject forums, but you will be able to directly message the trainer if you are stuck. Trainers will respond to your question(s) within 24 hours, but usually much quicker.
Often eLearning options are cheaper / more cost effective than attending a class-room and there will be no travel / accommodation costs too!
Finally, if you take an eLearning course that leads to a qualification, such as PRINCE2® or MSP, you will also be able to take the exam itself on-line in the comfort of your home at a time to suit you. You can find a checklist for taking a UProctor exam here.
Hi jackie, does the lms look on ipads?
Thanks
Hi – you have to download an articulate software App to effectively run it. There are links to this within the course’s resource centre – as / when you buy a course. Because the App enables you to work off-line is doesn’t have 100% of the functioality you would get using it on-line – such as recording progress, but othwerwise it looks very similar. You will see / be able to page through individual units nd d drag/drop exercises.
