Today I received a request / suggestion from one of our eLearners that a visual representation of when / where the PRINCE2 documents are created asnd updated – relating them to the different PRINCE2 processes and even showing a hierarchy of documents. Many (sub) documents are contained in other documents, such as the Outline Business Case is within the Project Brief, and the Management Approaches are within the PID.
Another thing that can be diffiuclt to get your head around is that whilst some documents are created in a certain process (such as Risk Register is created during the IP process) – it dosn’t actually form part of the primary set of documents created during the IP process which is the PID (or Project Initiaion Documentation).
To help those who are visual learners I have created a (colour coded) infographic that can be downloaded here:
The colour coding works as follows:
Black = Project Board’s work proceses
Blue = Project Manager’s work / processes
Red = Team Managers wor / process
If you do find this kind of visual resource useful and want to study PRINCE2 / havent already done so – why not sign up for one of our interactive eLearning courses?
